Les apiculteurs belges méritent votre confiance
En avril 2023, la DG Santé de la Commission européenne a remis un rapport
interpellant relatif aux miels importés non UE. Une campagne d’analyse
réalisée en 2021 et 2022 a en effet fait apparaître que 46 % des échantillons
de miels importés étaient frelatés (sirops de sucre, additifs, colorants ...)
A l’initiative de la filière apicole, la Commission révise actuellement la directive
miel. Ceci devrait permettre d’inclure des dispositions pour protéger les
intérêts des consommateurs et producteurs honnêtes, en imposant un
étiquetage plus clair sur la provenance des miels importés. Par ailleurs, la
Commission invite les états à renforcer les contrôles qualitatifs et à
sanctionner les fraudeurs.
Le miel vendu au prix du sucre fragilise la filière apicole belge et
européenne et doit attirer l’attention des consommateurs quant à la
qualité supposée du produit
La Fédération Apicole Belge rappelle à l’occasion de la journée des
abeilles qu’en Belgique du miel de qualité est produit de façon
artisanale par des milliers de petits apiculteurs locaux qui respectent
l’abeille ainsi que la charte de bonnes pratiques apicoles.
Certains miels sont labellisés : certificat d’analyses, Miel Wallon.

Under the theme “Bee engaged in pollinator-friendly agricultural production”, World Bee Day 2023 calls for global action to support pollinator-friendly agricultural production and highlights the importance of protecting bees and other pollinators, particularly through evidence-based agricultural production practices.
The global World Bee Day ceremony, which will be held in hybrid format at the FAO headquarters on Friday, 19 May, will be an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of adopting pollinator-friendly agricultural production practices to protect bees and other pollinators, while contributing to the resilience, sustainability and efficiency of agrifood systems. Simultaneous interpretation will be available in all official languages.
